I prefer to keep my designs airy, with intentional negative space; organic, by following the natural movement of flowers; and authentic, showcasing flowers as they would be seen in nature. Each flower is dried in a sandy desiccant which allows the flowers to retain most of their natural shape and color.

Since the preservation stage is quite messy, the flowers need some extra love and care before they are design ready. Cleaning the desiccant off the flowers and restoring the integrity of each flower is a long and tedious process.

Arranging the flowers to be framed is both fun and challenging! I have learned that my favorite designs are full of color, utilize negative space, and include lots of different textures.
